FunkyTown Donuts is a family owned bakery dedicated to making handcrafted donuts and providing a great customer service experience. We aim to put a Funky twist on the traditional doughnut and give that good old southern charm.  It is our belief that quality ingredients are very important and we make as much from scratch as possible.  We also try to be as involved in the community as possible and participate in many local charitable events.

There are a variety of donuts offered daily including yeast and cake donuts, with a rotating list of seasonal glazes.  We offer gluten free and vegan options on Wednesday and Sunday.  We also provide catering services for large events and weddings, including donut bars.

We use fresh fruit in our glazes and try to bring as much seasonal flavors as possible to our Funky Fresh donuts.  Our dough is made from scratch, and uses fresh ingredients.  We hope that the love we have in our family and passion we have towards providing a quality product will be felt in every bite.  So come by and join the family!

I grew up in Denton, Texas and was part of a large extended family.  Often my mom's family would meet and we would all celebrate birthdays and holidays with family feasts.  I couldn't wait to play with my cousins and see what dessert my aunts made.  I developed a love of donuts with my dad, who could never refuse a good cake donut.  He was a police officer so naturally, he knew a good donut!  After graduating from the University of North Texas, I met my wife Angie and moved to Fort Worth.  I worked at the Ashton Hotel downtown, and worked my way up from Valet to Food & Beverage Manager.  I then went to Central Market and was the purchaser for the bakery department before making the decision to go full time FunkyTown!

I saw a need in Fort Worth for a gourmet donut shop that would put a different twist on the typical donut.  So I talked my mom and wife into joining the team and sought out to see if we could make this dream come true.  We have incorporated some family recipes into our donuts and look to use other local ingredients as well.  I want to put the love of family and food into our products and provide the customers with a level of service as though they are family.

Angie, Brandon's better-half, worked as the General Manager of Ashton Depot Catering and Events before coming on full-time at Funky Town. She has spent many years in the food and beverage industry building her career. Angie serves on the board of the local National Association of Catering & Events and also sits on the special events committee for the Fort Worth Food & Wine Festival.  She is also responsible for all of our social media and is to blame for all the mouthwatering pictures.

Ruth is Brandon's mother and has been an amazing support.  She worked at the University of North Texas for 23 years and retired as the Payroll Manager.  Ruth has always had a passion for food as well, which she learned from her mom and grandmother.  Ruth serves as our chief financial officer and even provides support in the kitchen whenever needed.
